Samsung HMX-H106 HD Camcorder Gets Price and Release Date
Samsung's newest flash memory camcorder, the HMX-H106 is finally making its way to the US. The rumor mill (a.k.a. Amazon.com) indicates that it will have a May 22nd release date and cost $900.We first spotted the camera back in January at CES 2009 in Las Vegas. We didn't know much about the camera except that it recorded 1080p and used a 64GB flash drive. It also has the ability to record to a flash card as well.
We were impressed by the Canon VIXIA HF S10 camcorder that we got to try out a month ago. The Samsung H106 looks to have similar specs as the Canon while costing less, and let's not forget that it also has more memory. Both cameras look very similar to each other and have 10x optical zoom and optical image stabilization.
