The Sony Handycam Hdr-sr1 is the beginning of Sony’s venture into high-definition camcorder technology. It can record in 1080i or be switched to standard definition. The 30 GB hard drive will hold about four continuous hours in high definition mode. It has great video and audio quality while maintaining an easy to use interface and small design.
The Hdr-sr1’s 30 GB hard drive is large enough to record just about any event in its entirety in high-definition; yet, small enough to make transfer to your computer relatively painless. The large 3.5 inch touch screen LCD display literally puts the menu at your fingertips.
Experts and users alike have found the Sony Handycam Hdr-sr1 to be an overall excellent camcorder especially in video and audio quality; however, the biggest complaint to surface with this electronic is the clunky software it comes with, and since other computer technology has not quite caught up with the Handycam’s you might find it difficult to edit and enhance your videos.
The Sony Handycam Hdr-sr1 is a camera ahead of its time. The high-def video and surround sound audio makes it an electronic to envy and soon this will be the standard all camcorders are held to.
