Canon Producing DSLR/Camcorder Hybrid?

The rumors coming from Camp Canon right now are very intriguing. Supposedly Canon is working on a true dSLR/video camera. Speculation says that the new mystery camera would have a 12.1 megapixel image sensor and be capable of shooting high definition video.
By now, you may already be familiar with Canon's 5D Mark II, which can shoot full high definition videos. The catch is that it's missing a bunch of features. Sure it can record high definition videos but that's about it. There is no autofocus or any other nifty video features a good video camera should have. This new mystery camera, if rumors are true, will fix all that. It will literally combine the best of the video camera world with the best of the dSLR world. High definition, interchangeable lenses, image stabilization, autofocus, and manual controls galore will all be included in one unit.
Since these are just unconfirmed rumors for now, there is no word on availability (if ever), but sources say it will cost around $8,000. Start saving now.
